Job summary

Central Ohio Farmers Co-op, Inc. in Marion, Ohio, is seeking a Machine Operator for our Marion processing facility. This full-time role covers 3rd shift (6pm–6am) and requires a strong mechanical aptitude and solid work ethic.

You will maintain quality, follow safety rules and LOTO procedures, operate conveyance equipment, document maintenance, and collaborate with team to meet production goals. Candidates should be able to work overtime and weekends as needed, wear PPE, and communicate clearly

Central Ohio Farmers Co-op, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to work in our Marion, OH processing facility. Some required attributes are excellent attention to detail, a "lead-by-example" attitude, strong work ethics, effectively and respectfully communicate with all employees and management.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop product knowledge and follow all company policies and procedures.
• Must be aware of and follow all applicable safety and environmental regulations.
• Understand the proper operation of conveyance equipment and the associated safety systems of that equipment
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and document accordingly.
• Maintain high standards of quality control by following and enforcing procedures approved by the Company.
• Track inventory and communicate findings effectively and honestly.
• Clean and prepare storage facilities as needed.
• Collect and document product samples for testing as required.
• Use troubleshooting skills.
• Understand how to safely shutdown and isolate equipment for maintenance using Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
• Use sound judgment and abilities to support the best interests of the company in all situations.
• Perform all other related duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications

At a MINIMUM, qualified candidates will must meet the following Position Requirements to be considered for an interview:

• Medium to high level of mechanical ability
• Current or previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable with heights.
• Comfortable working on a catwalk.
• Comfortable working with moving surfaces.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Dependable attendance.
• Agree to follow all safety rules including LOTO (lock-out-tag-out).
• Must wear proper PPE (safety glasses, hard hat, ear plugs and steel-toe boots covering ankle).
• Work well independently and as a team.
• Must be able to work overtime and occasional weekends and holidays to meet business needs.
• Any present or future qualifications needed to maintain this position.
