Job summary

UPM in Northbrook, IL is hiring for a hands-on manufacturing role supporting the distribution of specialty metals to global customers.

You will start at $23–$25 per hour with on-site hours Monday–Thursday 1:00pm–10:30pm and Friday 2:00pm–6:00pm; training is provided, benefits include health and dental, vision, PTO, holidays, and a 401(k) match.

This position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and basic machine operation with room to grow.

Qualifications

• Run saws and cutting machines (we’ll train you).
• Cut titanium, stainless, and nickel to customer and industry standard tolerances.
• Load and unload materials.
• Make sure parts meet required specs and quality standards.
• Keep your machine running and adjust when needed.
• Troubleshoot basic machine or material issues.
• Check your work—quality matters here.
• Keep your area clean and safe.
• Call out problems when something’s not right.

• You’ve got some mechanical sense (or want to learn).
