Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is seeking a production operator to safely operate, monitor and set up production and packaging equipment. You will work with a team to maintain high product quality and assist with line clearance and cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities include verifying inserts and packaging integrity, performing minor maintenance, weighing products, and communicating line status to packers. A high school diploma and basic math skills are required; English communication is essential.

• Basic math skills (addition/subtraction) are required.
• Ability to work well with others to achieve team objectives.
• Standing/walking up to 8 hours per day is required.
• Must have a high sense of urgency and the ability to handle repetitive hand movements.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs may be required.

Job Summary

Under supervision machine operators will ensure the safe, efficient operation of various production and sterilization equipment to meet quality and output standards. Work with a team to maintain high product quality.

Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Machine Operation & Maintenance:
  Operate, monitor, and set up various production and packaging equipment safely.
  Perform minor maintenance and repairs; address equipment issues and involve maintenance when
  necessary.
• Quality Control:
  Verify correct inserts, labels, and pouches for each lot.
  Check product output for quality and accuracy; adjust processes to maintain high quality.
  Document machine attributes and parameters on required forms and logs.
• Packaging & Handling:
  Weigh products before packaging; operate equipment to process and package materials.Load and transport finished products; seal and verify packaging integrity
• Additional Responsibilities:
  Communicate with packers on the line status and new jobs.
  Fill out requisition forms for shortages and scrap components; complete scrap reports.
  Assist in maintaining proper line clearance; perform backup duties and other projects as assigned
  Maintain a clean and safe work area; ensure orderly housekeeping.
  Complete regular cleaning of equipment and production areas.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience:

• Previous production/manufacturing experience required.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English.
• Basic math (addition and subtraction) required.
• Ability to work well with others in order to accomplish team objectives.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours per day.
• Must have high sense of urgency.
• Repetitive hand movement must be made to place components in trays and to wrap the tray.
• Needs to lift totes of components.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Requires lifting of objects up to 50 lbs.
• May need to work in various settings including warm or cold environments, closed-sterile environment.
• Must be able to follow procedures for the clean room that may include attire and personal hygiene.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$18.75 - $27.25 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
