Job summary

Medline Industries, LP seeks an entry-level production/operator to ensure safe, efficient operation of packaging and sterilization equipment. You'll work with a team to maintain high product quality and meet output standards.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining machinery, verifying inserts, labels, and pouches, and supporting line clearance and housekeeping. A high school diploma and ability to read English are required; benefits include health insurance and 401(k) contributions.

Job Summary

Under supervision machine operators will ensure the safe, efficient operation of various production and sterilization equipment to meet quality and output standards. Work with a team to maintain high product quality.

Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Machine Operation & Maintenance:Operate, monitor, and set up various production and packaging equipment safely.Perform minor maintenance and repairs; address equipment issues and involve maintenance whennecessary.
• Quality Control:Verify correct inserts, labels, and pouches for each lot.Check product output for quality and accuracy; adjust processes to maintain high quality.Document machine attributes and parameters on required forms and logs.
• Packaging & Handling:Weigh products before packaging; operate equipment to process and package materials.Load and transport finished products; seal and verify packaging integrity
• Additional Responsibilities:Communicate with packers on the line status and new jobs.Fill out requisition forms for shortages and scrap components; complete scrap reports.Assist in maintaining proper line clearance; perform backup duties and other projects as assignedMaintain a clean and safe work area; ensure orderly housekeeping.Complete regular cleaning of equipment and production areas.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Certification / Licensure:

Work Experience:

• Previous production/manufacturing experience required.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English.
• Basic math (addition and subtraction) required.
• Ability to work well with others in order to accomplish team objectives.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours per day.
• Must have high sense of urgency.
• Repetitive hand movement must be made to place components in trays and to wrap the tray.
• Needs to lift totes of components.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Requires lifting of objects up to 50 lbs.
• May need to work in various settings including warm or cold environments, closed-sterile environment.
• Must be able to follow procedures for the clean room that may include attire and personal hygiene.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$15.50 - $22.50 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
