Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is seeking a Machine Operator III for the Hartland manufacturing site. You will safely operate production equipment, set up and maintain processes, and ensure quality products for healthcare providers. You will also assist with team workflow, training, and adherence to GMP standards.

The role requires hands-on operation, problem solving, and collaboration with maintenance and engineering to keep equipment running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read and follow charts, indicators, and operator checklists.
  • Willingness to work in both warm and cold environments.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor machinery to detect and report malfunctions.
  • Perform machine setup, cleanup, and minor maintenance; adjust machine parameters as needed.
  • Document machine attributes and parameters; respond to breakdowns.

  • Operate automated boxing lines and handle materials.

Job Description

Machine Operation and Maintenance


  • Operate and monitor machinery to detect and report malfunctions

  • Perform machine setup, cleanup, and minor maintenance; adjust machine parameters as needed

  • Operate all production floor equipment per company policies.

  • Perform equipment setup, startup, shutdown, changeovers, and cleaning.

  • Document machine attributes and parameters; respond to machinery breakdowns

  • Work with maintenance/engineering to ensure equipment functionality; participate in root cause analysis.


Team Coordination and Training


  • Assist in organizing staff and workload; direct team workflow to meet quality standards.

  • Lead, coach, and train operators; ensure proper transfer of technical information.


Quality Control


  • Prepare and inspect products for quality and accuracy.

  • Optimize throughput while maintaining GMP standards


Safety and Cleanliness


  • Follow safety protocols and help identify and correct hazards.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

  • Perform regular cleaning of equipment and production areas.


Additional Responsibilities


  • Complete all paperwork and reports accurately and on time.

  • Operate automated boxing lines and handle materials

  • Serve as backup for other positions and assist with additional projects as assigned.


Minimum Job Requirements


  • Education:

    • High school graduate or GED



  • Certification / Licensure:

    • None



  • Work Experience:

    • At least 3 years of work experience within a high volume manufacturing environment in lieu 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

    • Experience providing direction to a production line in a manufacturing environment



  • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

    • Ability to read and understand charts, indicators, control instructions, and operator checklists

    • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.

    • Basic math skills, including fractional and decimal equations

    • Physical capability to stand for an entire shift and perform tasks involving lifting, reaching, squatting, pushing, and pulling.

    • Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.

    • Willingness to work in both warm and cold environments.

    • Must be able to operate a pallet jack.

Salary and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position: $21.25 - $30.75 Hourly. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold. Our benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average. For roles where employees work less than 30 hours per week, benefits include 401(k) contributions, paid time off, as well as access to the Employee Assistance Program, Employee Resource Groups and the Employee Service Corp.
