Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is hiring for production machine operators to safely run and monitor a range of production and sterilization equipment. You will work with a team to ensure high product quality and efficient output, including setup, changeovers, and routine maintenance.

Responsibilities include verifying labels and packaging, documenting machine parameters, weighing and packing products, and maintaining clean, safe work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous production/manufacturing experience required.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English.
• Basic math (addition and subtraction) required.
• Ability to work well with others to achieve team goals.
• Must be able to stand/walk up to 8 hours per day.
• Must have a high sense of urgency.
• Repetitive hand movements to place components in trays and wrap trays.
• Must be able to lift totes of components up to 50 lbs.
• May work in warm or cold environments and in clean room attire.

Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Machine Operation & Maintenance: Operate, monitor, and set up various production and packaging equipment safely. Perform minor maintenance and repairs; address equipment issues and involve maintenance when necessary.

Quality Control: Verify correct inserts, labels, and pouches for each lot. Check product output for quality and accuracy; adjust processes to maintain high quality. Document machine attributes and parameters on required forms and logs.

Packaging & Handling: Weigh products before packaging; operate equipment to process and package materials. Load and transport finished products; seal and verify packaging integrity

Additional Responsibilities: Communicate with packers on the line status and new jobs. Fill out requisition forms for shortages and scrap components; complete scrap reports. Assist in maintaining proper line clearance; perform backup duties and other projects as assigned. Maintain a clean and safe work area; ensure orderly housekeeping. Complete regular cleaning of equipment and production areas.

• Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Requires lifting of objects up to 50 lbs. May need to work in various settings including warm or cold environments, closed-sterile environment. Must be able to follow procedures for the clean room that may include attire and personal hygiene.

The anticipated salary range for this position: $18.75 - $27.25 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.

• Our benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average.
• For roles where employees work less than 30 hours per week, benefits include 401(k) contributions, paid time off, as well as access to the Employee Assistance Program, Employee Resource Groups and the Employee Service Corp.
