Job summary

Precision Resource in Vernon Hills, IL, seeks a mechanically inclined worker for production. You will be trained to operate grinders, beltsanders, presses, and basic CNC machines, handling high volumes of parts with focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with hands-on mechanical aptitude.
• Manufacturing experience preferred; automotive-related work is applicable.
• Must understand, speak and write basic English; bilingual Spanish ideal.
• Willing to train and stay motivated for a manufacturing career.
• Physically capable of lifting, bending, standing and walking.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machines and learn setup and troubleshooting processes.
• Load and unload high volumes of metal parts and move bins on/off pallets.
• Visually inspect parts and use basic inspection tools.
• Read and follow verbal and written instructions to produce work.
• Accurately record production into the work center system.
• Participate in continual improvement teams while maintaining safety.
• Maintain very reliable and punctual attendance.

Essential Duties

• Operate various production machines. We willtrain how to set-up and troubleshoot each, including: grinders, beltsanders, presses, and basic CNC machines, etc.
• Load and unload high volumes of metal parts efficiently. Move parts bins on and off pallets.
• Visually inspect parts and learn to use basic inspection tools.
• Read and follow verbal and written instructions to identify and produce work.
• Accurately record production into work center.
• Participate in continual improvement teams and activities.
• Comply with all safety requirements including but not limited to good housekeeping.
• Very reliable and punctual work attendance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus hands-on mechanical aptitude and skills.
• Manufacturing experience ideal but any mechanical relatedexperience with basic math skills may qualify. (Experience working on cars is very applicable)
• Must understand, speak and write basicEnglish; bilingual Spanish ideal.
