Position starts at $17.15. We currently have open positions for various Machine Operator positions that applicants may be considered for.

WE PROVIDE ON THE JOB TRAINING!

Job Duties:

1. Operate touch illustrated operating panel, safeties, and switches.
2. Perform small mechanical adjustments.
3. Use handheld scanner.
4. Visually inspect product for deficiencies.
5. Set up and tear down area at the beginning and end of processing.
6. Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
7. May need to operate forklift.
8. Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements.
9. Use SAP if transferred /rotated.
10. Read and write proficiently; complete on-the-job paperwork; communicate effectively across all management levels.
11. Have computer skills (if applicable).
12. Pay attention to detail.
13. Solve simple math problems.
14. Complete Lock out Training.
15. Be able to become Forklift Certified (if applicable).
16. Pass various safety and food safety tests.
17. Work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
18. Perform all positions of rotation, if applicable.
19. Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Lift 20-67lbs occasionally and hold 5-77lbs continuously.
• Push and pull rack on rail system ranging from 65lbs up to 1400lbs.
• Push/pull/lift with arms above shoulder level up to 77lbs.
• Perform repetitive motion of shoulders, arms, and hands with up to 50 repetitions per minute.
• Visually inspect product.
• Work with different spices.
• Work in cold and damp environments (22-40°F) for 8-10 hours/day.
• Stand on hard surface for up to 10 hours/day.
• Bend, crouch, and stoop throughout the day.
• Reach high and low levels frequently.
• Work with both hands and arms simultaneously.
• Use hands, fingers, and wrists to grasp, pull, and flex.
• Climb step ladders and/or stairs.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 months of work history.

Applicants will be considered for Labor level openings. Leveling (pay) is determined based on availability of relevant labor level job. Applicants may choose from any of the roles listed based on availability, including Blade Sharpener, Block Grinder Operator, Box Machine Operator, CEM Operator, CookHouse Operator, CVP Machine Operator, Dry Room Operator, Final Grinder Operator, Fresh Grinder Operator, Frozen Frinder Operator, Lowerator Operator, Machine Operator, Mixer Operator, Peeler Operator, Scaler, Spice Room Operator, Stuffer Machine Operator, and Stuffer Machine Operator.

Candidates previously employed by Tyson have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
