Position starts at $17.15. We are currently hiring for various Machine Operator roles, and applicants may be considered for any of these positions.

We Provide On-the-Job Training!

Job Duties:
  1. Operate touch illustrated operating panels, safeties, and switches.
  2. Make small mechanical adjustments.
  3. Use handheld scanners.
  4. Visually inspect products for deficiencies.
  5. Set up and tear down work areas at start and end of shifts.
  6. Perform general housekeeping duties.
  7. Operate forklift if required.
  8. Comply with safety, food safety, GMP, and SQF requirements.
  9. Use SAP if transferred or rotated.
  10. Read, write, and complete on-the-job paperwork; communicate effectively across management levels.
  11. Utilize computer skills if applicable.
  12. Maintain attention to detail.
  13. Solve simple math problems.
  14. Complete lockout training.
  15. Obtain forklift certification if applicable.
  16. Pass safety and food safety tests.
  17. Work overtime and weekends as needed.
  18. Perform all assigned rotations.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting 20-67 lbs occasionally and 5-77 lbs continuously.
  • Pushing and pulling racks ranging from 65 lbs to 1400 lbs.
  • Work with arms above shoulder level up to 77 lbs.
  • Repetitive motion of shoulders, arms, and hands.
  • Visual inspection of products.
  • Work in cold, damp environments (22-40°F) for 8-10 hours.
  • Stand on hard surfaces for up to 10 hours.
  • Bend, crouch, and stoop frequently.
  • Reach high and low levels regularly.
  • Work with both hands and arms simultaneously.
  • Use hands, fingers, and wrists for grasping, pulling, and flexing.
  • Climb ladders and stairs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 months of work history.

Applicants will be considered for labor-level openings, with pay determined based on role availability. Candidates can choose from roles such as Blade Sharpener, Block Grinder Operator, Box Machine Operator, and others listed.

Previous Tyson employees have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to three employment periods.
