Responsibilities

• Review daily production schedule with supervisors and leads.
• Obtain batch sheets, formula sheets, and process check sheets from supervisor.
• Supply ingredients and materials per batch specifications and verify items match.
• Inspect production equipment for cleanliness, allergens, and foreign materials.
• Set up and shut down machinery per batch sheet instructions.
• Mix, cook, or wrap products to formula specifications.
• Monitor equipment to stay within process parameters.
• Perform quality inspections and checks during production.
• Communicate and cooperate with coworkers; keep workspace clean and safe.
• Perform daily housekeeping and maintain a safe work environment.

Position Title: Machine Operator

Wage: $17.60-$19.60/hour

Shift: 1st, 2nd, 3rd

Hours: (1st Shift) 6:00am-2:00pm, (2nd Shift) 2:00pm-10:00pm, (3rd Shift) 10:00pm-6:00am

Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Review daily schedule with supervisors/leads
• Obtain batch sheets/formula sheets and process check sheets from Supervisor
• Obtain ingredients/labels/materials per batchsheet/formula specifications
• Verify that all obtained materials/ingredients match items listed on batch sheet
• Inspect the appropriate production equipment for cleanliness, allergen issues and foreign objects and material
• Complete machinery setup/shutdown process for specific operation of equipment to the batch sheet
• Mix/cook batches or wraps product to specifications as per formula in batch sheet
• Monitor equipment throughout production run to ensure operation is within process parameters
• Perform and maintain quality inspections and checks
• Communicate and work cooperatively with co-workers
• Perform daily housekeeping chores
• Maintain a clean, dry, and safe working environment by consistently adhering to good housekeeping practices
• Work safely and perform daily safety checks on all equipment
• Perform calculations for partial formulas, ingredient and materials usage and waste recording
• Recognize and report food safety and employee safety issues
• Perform changeovers with adherence to Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices
• Rotate into Packer position to perform Packer duties as business/operational needs

Machine Operator Requirements:

• Accuracy and attention to detail are critical
• Ability to work in a loud work environment
• Must be able to communicate effectively with all operators and supervisors and work within established procedures and guidelines for safe and efficient operations
• Operators will be exposed to heavy machinery, heat, humidity and strenuous work
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that involves a considerable amount of climbing, lifting and reaching
• This position requires weekend work and work in excess of eight hours per day
