Job summary

KENT Nutrition Group, Inc. (KENT Nutrition) is seeking Machine Operators for our Arcade, NY facility. You will operate packaging and manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality feed products, while maintaining safety and efficiency.

This role offers 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift options and a pay range of $19.00–$19.50 per hour, plus standard benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k). Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, 3–5 years in manufacturing, mechanical aptitude,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing/factory experience.
• Farming background is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Good communication, verbal and written, and math skills.
• Ability to lift at least 55 lbs.
• Forklift operation capability.
• Ability to work in dust, adverse weather and temperatures.
• Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check available.
• Knowledge of cGMP, HACCP Feed & Safety Plan, FSMA beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Daily operation of equipment to process and manufacture feed products.
• Operate the bagger, sewing machine, forklift and all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow warehouse and loading protocols.
• Ensure quality assurance for ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging.
• Record and document all feed manufactured during shift.
• Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently with accuracy and quality.
• Assist management with production scheduling, inventory planning & control for ingredients and finished products.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed.
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Observe and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Perform general work around the facility; other duties as assigned.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies and regulations.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed
• Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner
• Observe and enforce all company policies & procedures
• Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Management

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or GED
• 3 to 5 years manufacturing/factory experience
• Farming background a plus
• Mechanical aptitude preferred

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic computer knowledge
• Good communication, verbal, written and math skills
• Able to effectively communication with customers, co-workers and customers
• Ability to work as a team member
• Thorough understanding of cGMP’s
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Safety Plan, and FSMA
• Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. from floor to working height as job requires
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
