Job summary

Church & Dwight Co. Inc. is seeking a production line operator to join our packaging team in New Jersey. You will monitor line performance, maintain safety and quality standards, and support maintenance tasks as part of a collaborative, energetic crew.

The role requires a high school diploma (or GED) and strong English communication. Schedule includes Thurs/Fri 3:00PM-11PM and Sat/Sun 11:00AM-11:00PM. Eligible for a bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Operate at least one major piece of equipment on a packaging line.
• Perform minor preventive maintenance tasks (lubrication, cleaning, inspections).
• Assist mechanics with planned maintenance.
• Complete daily safety, quality checks and housekeeping.
• Clear equipment jams and support recycling of empty boxes.
• Use control panels to operate equipment and perform changeovers.
• Adhere to SOPs and GMPs and wear PPE.
• Report safety, quality or production issues immediately.
• Participate in safety, quality and equipment training.

Pay Rate: $22.95 an hour + shift differential

General Summary

Operates as a fully participating and effective team member of a production line within the scope of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) required of this position. Monitors the performance and work flow of the production line in one or more functions in the following areas: safety, housekeeping, productivity, quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities

• Operates at least one major piece of equipment on any of the packaging lines.
• Conducts minor Preventive Maintenance's (lubrication, cleaning, inspections, and adjustments).
• Assist Mechanics/Line Technicians with preforming Plan Maintenance.
• Perform all the daily basic safety checks and observations, quality checks, checklists, and housekeeping.
• Clear equipment jams.
• Ensure compliance to the recycling process of empty component boxes.
• Utilizes computer interface panels to operate the equipment.
• Maintain equipment and perform full change overs, washouts, and sanitizations.
• Adheres to the requirements of the SOP's and GMP's.
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and adheres to all safety procedures as documented in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Report safety hazards, quality, and production issues to supervision immediately.
• Participates in all job-related safety, quality, and equipment training.
• Complies with all Church & Dwight Co. Inc. policies and procedures and NJ laws.

Non-Essential Responsibilities

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent GED required. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $22.95-$24.50. This position is also eligible for a bonus.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay parity.
