Job summary

Altium Packaging in Sparta, TN, seeks a mechanically minded Processor Trainee to learn to operate, troubleshoot, and optimize Reheat & Stretch Blow Mold (RHSB) equipment used in the production process. No processing certification is required—we provide hands-on training and development opportunities.

Shift is 12-hour night (7pm–7am) with every other weekend off. Pay starts at $19.50 per hour, with advancement opportunities into a Process Technician role as you grow your skills and experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of manufacturing, machine operating, or production experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Comfortable around automated production equipment.
• Ability to identify and resolve basic machine issues.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate production machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with machine startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
• Monitor machine performance and process conditions.
• Make minor machine adjustments using controls, buttons, and hand tools.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and help resolve production problems.
• Inspect products for quality and identify defects.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Perform routine machine and product checks throughout the shift.
