Job summary

R.M. Palmer Company is hiring Machine Operators for 2nd and 3rd shifts to support the production of confectionery products. You will operate and monitor machinery, ensure quality, manage changeovers, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

The role emphasizes following standardized procedures, maintaining product integrity, and collaborating with team members to meet daily goals. Prior experience in food manufacturing is preferred and physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in food manufacturing or production preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment (mixers, depositors, packaging machines, etc.).
• Perform changeovers efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain product integrity.
• Monitor product quality, troubleshoot issues, and adjust as needed.
• Complete minor operator-level maintenance and cleaning tasks.
• Record production data and report issues to supervisors.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily production goals.
