Job summary

Weaver Chocolates is seeking a dependable Machine Operator to support panning, enrobing, and depositing chocolate products on our production line. You will help keep operations safe, efficient, and compliant with food safety standards, while supporting daily goals.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to read procedures. Prior machine operation experience is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Operate chocolate production equipment used for panning, enrobing, and depositing.
  • Monitor equipment, product flow, and finished product quality.
  • Load and unload tanks, trays, tubs, pans, ingredients, and production materials.
  • Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, adjustments, basic troubleshooting, and cleaning.
  • Complete required production, quality, cleaning, and food safety documentation accurately.
  • Perform routine quality checks and report product or equipment concerns.
  • Follow all company safety, food safety, GMP, SQF, sanitation, and allergen control procedures.
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and production-ready.
  • Communicate equipment, quality, material, safety, or production concerns to the appropriate team members.

Job description

Weaver Chocolates is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented, and hands-on Machine Operator to join our chocolate production team. This role is responsible for operating and supporting chocolate production equipment used for panning, enrobing, and depositing chocolate and confectionery products. The Machine Operator helps keep production running safely and efficiently while supporting product quality, team members, food safety standards, and daily production goals.

Schedule Monday-Thursday, 4 days x 10 hrs., overtime as required.

Responsibilities
  • Operate chocolate production equipment used for panning, enrobing, and depositing.
  • Monitor equipment, product flow, and finished product quality.
  • Load and unload tanks, trays, tubs, pans, ingredients, and production materials.
  • Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, adjustments, basic troubleshooting, and cleaning.
  • Complete required production, quality, cleaning, and food safety documentation accurately.
  • Perform routine quality checks and report product or equipment concerns.
  • Follow all company safety, food safety, GMP, SQF, sanitation, and allergen control procedures.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, twist, reach, climb steps/platforms, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with machinery, moving parts, noise, food ingredients, and cooler or refrigerated conditions.

Applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Preferred Experience

Experience with chocolate panning, enrobing, tempering, tanks, conveyors, or similar confectionery equipment is helpful but not required. Familiarity with SQF, GMP, sanitation, allergen control, or food safety standards is also helpful.

Compensation

Compensation: $22 - $24 hourly
