Job summary

J&L Wire in St. Paul, MN is seeking a Machine Operator to support the production line. You will staff a range of equipment including wire straightening/cutting, resistance welders, press brakes, roll formers, and punches to produce required parts.

You will complete daily production reports, ensure correct piece counts, and perform setups/changeovers as needed. Employment is contingent on pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill various machine operator positions along the production line.
• Staff wire straightening & cutting machines, wire mesh resistance welders, press brakes, shelf support resistance welders, roll formers and punch presses.
• Complete production reporting for the machine and ensure the correct piece count per issued product order.

Machine Operator- St. Paul, MN – J&L Wire

Reporting to: Plant Manager/Production Manager

General Job Description:
The machine operator positions are an integral part of our manufacturing production line. Each position is responsible for producing a component or contributing towards the end product. The employees staffing these positions will be interchangeable and will fill the product line dependent on the type and configuration of product being manufactured.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Fulfill various machine operator positions along the production line. The machine operator positions will staff wire straightening & cutting machine, wire mesh resistance welders, press brakes, shelf support resistance welders, roll formers and punch presses. The machine operator will also be responsible for completing production reporting for the machine they are operating and ensuring the correct piece count has been produced per the issued product order.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct machine setups and changeovers.

Physical Requirements:
All machine operator positions require standing and walking during all working hours. All machine operator positions require lifting up to 50 lbs. All machine operator positions require repetitive movement.
