Olympic Steel is seeking a Machine Operator - Slitter to set up and operate machinery, cutting materials as per work orders and ensuring quality at the output stage.

The role includes packaging finished materials for shipment and maintaining safe, efficient production in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of crane operation and lifting devices.
• Skilled at measuring machined features using a variety of measuring instruments.

Job Description

The Machine Operator - Slitter position sets up machine to proper specifications, operates machine to cut materials specified by work order, and checks quality of product coming off the machine. The Machine Operator - Slitter position also packages material (banding) and prepares for shipment.

Compensation

$23 - $24 per hour
