Job Summary:

The Machine Operator plays a crucial role in production, ensuring efficient and safe machinery operation. Responsibilities include setup, monitoring, and operation of the lathe slitter to meet production schedules and quality standards. The work schedule is 1st shift, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with occasional overtime on Friday and Saturday.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Set up and prepare the lathe slitter according to product specifications and job tickets.
2. Load and unload raw materials, ensuring proper alignment.
3. Monitor machine operation for smooth and efficient functioning.
4. Conduct quality checks on finished products.
5. Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain quality.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions during production.
7. Follow all safety regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
8. Keep detailed records of production, materials, and quality data.
9. Assist in training new operators as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a machine operator, preferably with single knife lathe slitters.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic maintenance skills.
