We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator to join our team and operate our Single Knife Lathe Slitter.

Job Summary: As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the machinery. You will be responsible for the set-up, monitoring, and operation of the lathe slitter, ensuring that it meets the production schedule and quality standards.

Work schedule is 1st shift 6:00 am to 4:30 p,m Monday through Thursday, with occasional overtime on Friday / Saturday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and prepare the Single Knife Lathe Slitter according to product specifications and production requirements contained within the job ticket.
• Load and unload raw materials onto the machine and ensure proper alignment.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections of finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
• Adjust the machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions that may arise during the production process.
• Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Keep detailed records of production output, material usage, and quality data.
• Assist in the training of new machine operators when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a machine operator, preferably with knowledge of single knife lathe slitters.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform quality checks.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a team and take direction from supervisors.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
• Extended periods of standing, walking, and operating machinery.
• Use of hand tools and equipment.
