Job summary

Amsted Automotive seeks a skilled operator to set up, run, and troubleshoot Sunnen Hone machinery in a manufacturing environment. You will manage tooling inventory, perform tool changes, and support fellow operators. The role requires attention to quality via SPC and adherence to safety policies.

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of manufacturing machine operation experience. Overtime and weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience and training on manufacturing machine operation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Sunnen Hone machines.
• Maintain inventory control for all tooling.
• Complete tooling changes as needed.
• Help train and assist operators as required.
• Move, load and unload products.
• Maintain production quality using SPC methods at all machines.
• Perform recordkeeping and paperwork.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines.
• Participate in team problem solving within continuous improvement processes.
• Use testing devices and chemicals per guidelines.
• Perform material handling using equipment including forklifts.
• Follow ISO 14001 work instructions and safety rules.
• Be responsible for the professional use of time, machinery, equipment and tools.
• Understand and align with BN Quality Policy.
