Job summary

Swire Coca-Cola in Tempe, AZ is seeking a reliable Machine Operator to join our production team. You will operate and monitor equipment, ensure materials are ready, and maintain quality throughout the production run.

Work involves setting up machinery, inspecting output, reporting malfunctions, and keeping the work area clean and safe. The role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and weekend/holiday availability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Forklift certification within 30 days from hire

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor equipment and replenish materials as needed through production shift
• Set up machinery ensuring all production materials are available and ready to be used to produce
• Visually inspect production run and document results, ensuring product quality
• Determine and report malfunctions to supervisor or manager for safety and quality
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and area to meet safety and performance standards
• Attend meetings as assigned and assist with special projects and events

Schedule: 5:00 PM–5:00 AM, rotating 2-2-3 schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on; working 7 of 14 days) + overtime required based on business need

What Does a Machine Operator do at Swire Coca-Cola?

Our Machine Operators are responsible for general duties involving physical handling of product, materials, supplies and equipment.

• Operate and monitor equipment and replenish materials as needed through production shift
• Set up machinery ensuring all production materials are available and ready to be used to produce
• Visually inspect production run and document results. Confirming quality of product throughout production
• Determine and report malfunctions to supervisor or manager to safety hazards and product defects
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned area to maintain safety and performance standards
• Attend meetings as assigned and assist with special projects and events

Requirements:

• High School Diploma (or GED) required or equivalent degree/certificate required
• Forklift Certification within 30 days from hire required
• Must be able to learn and fully operate assigned production equipment
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to perform essential functions with little or no supervision
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed by the business
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
