Job summary

Elevate, part of Amrize, seeks a Machine Operator- Rollform (1st shift) to monitor, load, and operate rollforming equipment in our Minnesota facility. You will calibrate the machine, run according to the daily schedule, perform quality checks and input data into the production system.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, manufacturing experience preferred, and a commitment to safety in a dusty indoor environment. We offer training, competitive pay, benefits and career growth.

• Manufacturing experience preferred with demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience with computer controlled equipment.
• Ability to follow standard work instructions, use measurement tools, blueprints, manuals as needed.

About The Role

The Machine Operator (1st shift) is responsible for monitoring, maintaining and operating equipment. They are also responsible for cleaning and quality-checking the machinery to ensure everything works as it should. Machine operators take care of all machine-specific functions such as configuring the equipment, loading, and operating the machines, and optimizing the machine capability. They need to ensure that the machine works at its full capacity, oversee its maintenance, and perform timely quality checks. They should be a self-starter and should be willing to undergo training, if need be, to understand the operations of new equipment.

What You’ll Accomplish

• Follow all Standard Work Instructions and Company Policies


• Adhere/Follow all safety rules


• Alert supervision to product quality or machine operation concerns


• Maintain the 5S standard of the assigned area


• Responsible for preparing and calibrating the machine to prepare to run according to the daily production schedule, validating batch information and checking the status of equipment in the production operating system.


• Monitors each run for quality and efficiency and adjusts settings based on quality control feedback.


• Capturing production run information (chemical used, downtime, and scrap reporting) and inputting data into the production database.


• Maintains the hour-by-hour board.


• Other duties as assigned


• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.

WHA WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• High School diploma, GED, or Equivalent Work Experience


• Mfg experience preferred (demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience with computer controlled equipment)


• Ability to follow standard work instructions, use measurement tools, blueprints, manuals as needed

Working Conditions

The working conditions include an indoor, dusty non-temperature controlled, industrial manufacturing and warehouse environment. Subject to varying cold and hot temperatures and occasional outdoor activities in hot or adverse weather. This position has the potential to manage and handle hazardous materials and hazardous waste.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs including use of lifting assistance devices


• Ability to stand for extended period of time


• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, kneel as required


• Ability to operate mobile equipment as required

Additional Requirements

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (\"PPE\"), including but not limited to respirators.


• Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
