Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Machine Operator to monitor, maintain and operate equipment in an indoor manufacturing environment. You will clean, quality-check, configure equipment, load materials, and optimize machine performance to meet daily production schedules.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, manufacturing experience is preferred, and you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Shift is Mon-Thu, 5am-3pm, with an hourly rate of $25.84.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and follow standard work instructions, and use measurement tools, blueprints, and manuals.

  • Adhere/Follow all safety rules
  • Alert supervision to product quality or machine operation concerns
  • Maintain the 5S standard of the assigned area
  • Prepare and calibrate the machine to run according to the daily production schedule, validating batch information
  • Monitor each run for quality and efficiency and adjust settings based on quality feedback
  • Capture production run information and input data into the production database
  • Maintain the hour-by-hour board
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description:

The Machine Operator is responsible for monitoring, maintaining and operating equipment.
They are also responsible for cleaning and quality-checking the machinery to ensure everything
works as it should. Machine operators take care of all machine-specific functions such as
configuring the equipment, loading, and operating the machines, and optimizing the machine
capability. They need to ensure that the machine works at its full capacity, oversee its
maintenance, and perform timely quality checks. They should be a self-starter and should be
willing to undergo training, if need be, to understand the operations of new equipment.

Hourly Rate: $25.84

  • Shift/Schedule: Mon - Thursday, 5am - 3pm
Job Responsibilities:
  • Follow all Standard Work Instructions and Company Policies
  • Adhere/Follow all safety rules
  • Alert supervision to product quality or machine operation concerns
  • Maintain the 5S standard of the assigned area
  • Responsible for preparing and calibrating the machine to prepare to run according to
    the daily production schedule, validating batch information and checking the status of
    equipment in the production operating system.
  • Monitors each run for quality and efficiency and adjusts settings based on quality
    control feedback.
  • Capturing production run information (chemical used, downtime, and scrap reporting)
    and inputting data into the production database.
  • Maintains the hour-by-hour board.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, GED, or Equivalent Work Experience
  • Mfg experience preferred (demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience with
    computer controlled equipment)
  • Ability to follow standard work instructions, use measurement tools, blueprints,
    manuals as needed
Working Conditions:

The working conditions include an indoor, dusty non-temperature controlled, industrial
manufacturing and warehouse environment. Subject to varying cold and hot temperatures and
occasional outdoor activities in hot or adverse weather. This position has the potential to
manage and handle hazardous materials and hazardous waste.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs including use of lifting assistance devices
  • Ability to stand for extended period of time
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, kneel as required
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment as required
