Job summary

Lennox in Bay Shore, NY is seeking a Machine Operator to ensure setup, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of our machinery on an hourly non-exempt basis.

The role requires at least 1 year of manufacturing experience, a High School Diploma, and the ability to read and write English. You will work 10-hour shifts, overtime and weekend hours as needed, in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read/write in English.
• Must be flexible – OT and weekends are required as needed.
• Must be able to work a 10 hour/day schedule.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to assist in other areas/departments when there is downtime.

Responsibilities

• Record accurate daily production while maintaining production quotas.
• Ensuring the inspection of the quality of the product during daily production.
• Perform minor adjustments of the roll-forming machine as needed.
• Ensure proper markings are affixed to the product fabric.
• Ensure product is packaged in the appropriate carton and labels are affixed.
• Ensure finished packaged product is placed on skids.
• Ensure presses and dies are lubricated when required.
• Maintain work area clean and free of debris.
• Ensure the recording of scrap.
• Load any and all raw material as needed.
• Notify the supervisor when a machine is not working properly.
• Reporting incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections.
• Assist with annual physical inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
