Job summary

Lennox in Ohio seeks a Machine Operator to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain roll-forming machinery. You will record daily production, inspect product quality, and perform minor machine adjustments to ensure efficient output.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience. OT and weekend work may be necessary; 10-hour shifts are common, with strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be flexible – OT and weekends are required as needed.

• Must be able to assist in other areas/departments when there is downtime.

Responsibilities

• Record accurate daily production while maintaining production quotas.
• Ensure the inspection of the quality of the product during daily production.
• Perform minor adjustments of the roll-forming machine as needed.
• Ensure proper markings are affixed to the product fabric.
• Ensure product is packaged in the appropriate carton and labels are affixed.
• Ensure finished packaged product is placed on skids.
• Ensure presses and dies are lubricated when required.
• Maintain work area clean and free of debris.

What Drives Success

The Machine Operator's primary function is to ensure the setup, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of machinery.

Job Duties

• Record accurate daily production while maintaining production quotas.
• Ensuring the inspection of the quality of the product during daily production.
• Perform minor adjustments of the roll-forming machine as needed.
• Ensure proper markings are affixed to the product fabric.
• Ensure product is packaged in the appropriate carton and labels are affixed.
• Ensure finished packaged product is placed on skids.
• Ensure presses and dies are lubricated when required.
• Maintain work area clean and free of debris.
• Ensure the recording of scrap.
• Load any and all raw material as needed.
• Notify the supervisor when a machine is not working properly.
• Reporting incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections.
• Assist with annual physical inventory.
• Expectation to run two different machines.
• Performing minor maintenance on roll-forming machinery to ensure the safe and efficient production of quality products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be in good physical condition.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have good hand/eye coordination.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk and/or bend for long periods of time (Varied based on daily tasks)

What We Offer

Compensation:This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $15.00– $20.00 /hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
