Job summary

Lennox in Ohio is hiring a Machine Operator to setup, operate, troubleshoot and maintain roll-forming machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring safety and quality at every step.

Responsibilities include recording daily production, inspecting product quality, making minor machine adjustments, labeling and packaging finished goods, loading raw materials, and assisting in other areas as needed; schedule is 10 hours per day with overtime and weekend work as required.

  • Must be flexible – OT and weekends are required as needed.
  • Must be able to work a 10 hour/day schedule.

  • Record accurate daily production while maintaining production quotas.
  • Inspect product quality during daily production.
  • Perform minor adjustments of the roll-forming machine as needed.
  • Label and package finished goods with proper markings.
  • Load raw materials and maintain clean work area.
  • Notify supervisor of any machine issues and assist in inventory tasks.

What Drives Success

The Machine Operator's primary function is to ensure the setup, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of machinery.

Job Duties
  • Record accurate daily production while maintaining production quotas.
  • Ensuring the inspection of the quality of the product during daily production.
  • Perform minor adjustments of the roll-forming machine as needed.
  • Ensure proper markings are affixed to the product fabric.
  • Ensure product is packaged in the appropriate carton and labels are affixed.
  • Ensure finished packaged product is placed on skids.
  • Ensure presses and dies are lubricated when required.
  • Maintain work area clean and free of debris.
  • Ensure the recording of scrap.
  • Load any and all raw material as needed.
  • Notify the supervisor when a machine is not working properly.
  • Reporting incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections.
  • Assist with annual physical inventory.
  • Expectation to run two different machines.
  • Performing minor maintenance on roll-forming machinery to ensure the safe and efficient production of quality products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • A minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience
Physical Requirements
  • Must be in good physical condition.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk and/or bend for long periods of time (Varied based on daily tasks)
What We Offer

Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $15.00– $20.00 /hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 10 days paid time off, 12 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
