Job summary

Amrize is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain production machinery in our facilities. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality. Hourly rate is $25 to $27.50.

You will read work orders, adjust settings, perform basic maintenance, conduct quality checks, and help keep a clean, organized work area. Overtime and Saturdays may be required; 5S participation and lifting up to 50 lbs are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Machine Operator in manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Ability to operate machinery including printing press, rewinders, forklift, pallet jack, floor scrubber.
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery per standards and safety guidelines.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and make minor repairs.
• Read and interpret production work orders for size/print of finished material.
• Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure finished products meet specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Record production data and report issues to supervisor.
• Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
• Drive forklift to move products and materials.
• Follow safe practices and know first aid and emergency procedures.
• Be available for overtime including Saturdays as needed.
• Participate in 5S in all facility areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure wrap meets Miami Dade qualifications for roofing underlayment.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and be on feet for long periods.
