Job summary

IDEMIA is seeking a production team member in Chantilly, VA to support assembly, material forming, processing, and packaging activities. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and meeting quality targets in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should be comfortable with 12‑hour shifts, lifting up to 50 lbs, and standing for long periods. No formal education is required, and experience is <2 years. The position reports to the Team Lead within the Production department.

Responsibilities

  • Follow standard procedures on routine production tasks.
  • Ensure completion of work within our quality and safety standards.
  • Operate and maintain production equipment with basic diagnostics.
  • Assist in quality control and material handling per procedures.
  • Coordinate with Team Lead and Supervisor on production capacity and priorities.
  • Perform checks on each process step and reconcile quantities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation following 5S principles.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues immediately.

Purpose

This role manages various production activities like assembly, material forming or shaping, processing, treating, or packaging, etc., to ensure production excellence and to meet established specifications, schedules, volume, cost, wastage targets, and quality.

Key Missions
  • Works on routine tasks or follows standard procedures
  • Ensures completion of all work within service‑level agreements
  • Operates and maintains production equipment through identifying and performing first‑line diagnostics and complying with operating procedures
  • Contributes actively to the business performance of production
  • Highlights any opportunities for improvement and participates in process improvement teams
  • Supports production integrated into the flow (quality control, controls and preparation of raw materials, supply management, etc.) or to machine operation
  • Communicates information that requires little explanation or interpretation
  • Job allocation on machines based on production training matrix
  • Communicates with Team Lead and Supervisor regarding current production capabilities status
  • Prioritizes different jobs (customers)
  • Performs all required checks for each different process performed on the floor
  • Quantity reconciliation based on job throughout each process
  • Ensures proper transfer of product depending on what process is performed
  • Ensures the correct follow‑up on specific quality monitoring procedures
  • Any other tasks or duties assigned by the team leader or supervisor

  • Education or equivalent work experience: No minimum education
  • Minimum necessary experience: < 2 years of relevant experience(s)

EHS Standards and Responsibilities

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand with frequent walking, bending, and reaching throughout a 12‑hour shift
  • Manual dexterity required for handling small components and tools
  • Ability to visually inspect products and read labels or screens
  • Must wear required PPE, including steel‑toe shoes, safety glasses, and gloves in designated areas. Adheres to all site safety policies and procedures, and machine‑specific safety protocols.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe workstation following 5S and housekeeping standards to prevent slips, trips, and ergonomic risks
  • Demonstrates a “Stop Work” mindset when unsafe conditions exist
