Job summary

Vestcom, a standalone business unit of Avery Dennison, seeks a Machine Operator to own label machines, troubleshoot issues, and drive precise production to meet critical deadlines.

Starting pay is $20.50/hr. You will set up equipment, log materials in the ERP, and maintain a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and accountability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of related experience in a production environment.
• Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for a full shift.
• Strong color vision and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Operate & Troubleshoot: Set up and run label machines efficiently while maintaining a zero-defect mindset.
• Resource Management: Minimize waste and log raw materials in ERP accurately.
• Maintenance: Uphold dies and report technical issues to the Facility Manager.
• Safety & Quality: Keep a clean workspace and follow SOPs and PPE.

Starting Pay: $20.50/hr

Your Role

As a Technical Pilot of our label machines, you will ensure high‑quality production to meet critical retail deadlines. You won’t just push buttons; you will "own" your equipment, troubleshoot issues, and drive results.

Key Responsibilities

Operate & Troubleshoot: Set up and run label machines efficiently while maintaining a "zero‑defect" mindset.

Resource Management: Minimize waste and maintain an accurate log of raw materials using our ERP system.

Maintenance: Responsible for the upkeep of all dies and reporting technical issues to the Facility Manager.

Safety & Quality: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all SOPs and safety protocols (PPE).

Mechanical Aptitude: You have a "root cause" mentality and want to understand how your machine works.
