Job summary

Vestcom, a standalone business unit of Avery Dennison, in Dallas, TX, is hiring a Label Machine Operator to operate labeling machinery on a fixed A Shift (Sun–Tue 6:00–18:00, Wed 6:00–12:00). Starting rate: $20–$21 per hour with a $500 sign-on bonus. Join a production team focused on quality and efficiency.

You will monitor machines, troubleshoot, log materials in our ERP, and uphold safety and clean-as-you-work standards while meeting daily production targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of related manufacturing or machine operation experience.
• Strong mechanical skills and the ability to analyze equipment performance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of a shift.
• Color vision proficiency to distinguish product variations.

Responsibilities

• Operate label machines efficiently to meet daily production deadlines while minimizing material waste.
• Monitor equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and identify root causes.
• Maintain accurate logs of raw materials using the ERP system.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and collaborate with the production team.

Join Avery Dennison as a Label Machine Operator, where you will take ownership of advanced labeling technology to deliver high-quality products. We are looking for a mechanically inclined "Technical Pilot" who is accountable, curious about how equipment functions, and thrives in a performance-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

• Performance & Accuracy: Operate label machines efficiently to meet daily production deadlines while minimizing material waste.
• Technical Ownership: Use your mechanical aptitude to monitor equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and identify root causes rather than "band-aid" fixes.
• Data & Quality: Maintain accurate logs of raw materials using our ERP system and ensure a "zero-defect" mindset through close attention to detail.
• Safety & Collaboration: Maintain a clean, safe work area and collaborate with the production team to ensure overall site health.
