Job summary

Vestcom, a division of Avery Dennison, is hiring a Label Machine Operator to run advanced labeling equipment and ensure quality output. You will be a mechanically inclined troubleshooter in a fast-paced, safety-conscious production environment.

Shift is A Shift, Sun-Tue 6AM-6PM, Wed 6AM-12PM, with starting pay $20-21 per hour. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, strong mechanical skills, and teamwork to meet daily production goals while minimizing waste.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years manufacturing or machine operation experience.
• Strong mechanical skills and the ability to analyze equipment performance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for a shift.
• Color vision to distinguish product variations.

Responsibilities

• Operate label machines efficiently to meet daily production deadlines while minimising material waste.
• Monitor equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and identify root causes.
• Maintain logs of raw materials using the ERP system with attention to detail.
• Collaborate with the production team to maintain a safe, clean work area.

We are looking for a mechanically inclined "Technical Pilot" who is accountable, curious about how equipment functions, and thrives in a performance-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

• Performance & Accuracy: Operate label machines efficiently to meet daily production deadlines while minimizing material waste.
• Technical Ownership: Use your mechanical aptitude to monitor equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and identify root causes rather than "band-aid" fixes.
• Data & Quality: Maintain accurate logs of raw materials using our ERP system and ensure a "zero-defect" mindset through close attention to detail.
• Safety & Collaboration: Maintain a clean, safe work area and collaborate with the production team to ensure overall site health.
