Job summary

N OV is seeking a manufacturing operator in San Antonio, Texas. The role focuses on producing high‑quality pipe per specification sheets while maintaining NOV quality and safety standards.

You will operate winding and DSC machines, manage cart movements, and handle measuring tools to ensure correct setup and product specifications. The ideal candidate can read gauges and labels, endure long shifts, and work overtime.

Qualifications

• Ability to read pressure gauges and labels on pipe
• Ability to work overtime and shift work as required
• Good vision for safe forklift operation
• Standing up to 12 hours daily, walking and bending
• Lifting weights up to 50 lbs regularly
• Push/Pull up to 12 hours daily
• Follow safety, quality and PPE requirements
• Assist with on‑the‑job training as needed

Responsibilities

Manufactures high-quality, low-cost pipe according to manufacturing specification sheets in an efficient manner while maintaining all NOV quality and safety measures.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Operates winding machine
• Run DSC machine
• Extractor cart operation
• Operate impact gun
• Use measuring equipment
• Operation of mix station
• Understand specifications and how it relates to machine setup and product
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision
• Utilize safe work habits
• Wear appropriate PPE
• Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines and procedures
• Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
• Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Ability to read pressure gauges
• Ability to read labels on pipe along with specs on paper
• Ability to work overtime and shift work as required
• Good vision required for safe operation of forklift
• Standing up to 12 hours daily
• Walking up to 12 hours daily
• Bending/Stooping up to 12 hours daily
• Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 12 hours daily
• Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly
• Push/Pull up to 12 hours daily
• Assist where and when needed as required
• Utilize recommended safe work habits and make use of all safety equipment provided
• Assist with OJT (On Job Training) employees as needed
• MDA-required physical clearance.
