Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products is seeking a Machine Operator to perform multiple line roles in a coil coating facility. Starting pay is $23/hr with a $1.50 shift differential and monthly bonus incentives, plus a robust benefits package.

Under supervision, you will take on Wet Section, Coater Assistant, Prime Coater, Entry End, Finish Coater A/B operator duties and advance through a tiered program with raises as you gain proficiency and contribute to production goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• One year of manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Operate various sections of the coating line as assigned (Wet, Prime, Entry/Exit End, Finish A/B).
• Support safe and efficient operation of coating equipment and maintain work areas.
• Comply with quality, safety, and documentation requirements.

Position placement is determined based on the needs of the business. These roles include but are not limited to:Wet Section Operator: responsible for operating the wet section equipment in accordance with wet section operating parameters.Coater Assistant: responsible for supporting the Finish Coater operators in efficiently and safely operating the coating equipment and maintaining the finish coater rooms.Prime Coater Operator: responsible for the safe operation of the dual head Prime Coater machine.Entry End Operator: responsible for operating the entry end equipment where raw material is fed into the line.Exit End Operator.
