Job summary

The Greenbrier Companies, Tacoma, WA, is seeking a Machine Operator Level B to operate various machinery, producing parts within dimensional tolerances and cycling speeds/feeds to maximize tool life.

Responsibilities include measuring with calipers/micrometers, maintaining tools, and ensuring quality per print and industry specs. Opportunities exist for growth in a production environment with full-time hours onsite.

Qualifications

• Learn intermediate machine operations and multi-machine functionality.
• Maintain focus and accuracy when handling multiple tasks.
• Use measuring tools like calipers and micrometers.
• Learn to set speeds and feeds of machines.
• Work and communicate within a team setting.
• Recognize defects and out-of-tolerance measurements.
• Document measurements legibly.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Follow all EHS rules and regulations.
• Produce parts per print requirements and tooling/fixtures.
• Measure dimensions using calipers, micrometers, or other tools.
• Ensure parts meet Greenbrier Rail Services and AAR specifications.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Perform safety checks on every machine and keep area clean.
• Monitor machines to ensure optimization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
