Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Machine Operator II for a fast-paced, state-of-the-art fresh cut produce facility. You will cut, pack, and assemble fresh produce, follow safety and quality procedures, and maintain equipment and a clean work area in a cold environment.

The role requires a HS Diploma or GED, 6 months of food processing experience, and the ability to work holidays/weekends. Candidates must lift up to 25 lb regularly and up to 50 lb occasionally.

Qualifications

• Read and write basic English required.
• Must have strong mindset and uphold machine safety and operational procedures.
• Leadership skills and ability to work well with a team.
• Ability to navigate machine interfaces and troubleshoot equipment to determine root causes of stoppages.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory compliance (USDA, QTV, FDA, OSHA, SQF).
• Ensure quality standards throughout the process.
• Cut fresh produce by hand or with tools and pack/assemble items.
• Lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Work in cold environment (35–38°F).
• Wear proper safety footwear and follow PPE rules.
• Cross-train on production floor areas and coordinate with departments.
