Job summary

Workrite Ergonomics in Petaluma is seeking a Machine Operator I for our Woodshop to operate and maintain woodworking machinery and contribute to precise fabrication of our ergonomic products.

This entry-level role supports setup and operation of equipment like molder, drill press, table saw, and more; you will read simple drawings and work orders, assemble and package parts, and help maintain a clean, safe work area while following PPE and safety rules in a first-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Entry level role with basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Ability to learn and use an ERP system.
• Ability to work in a high-paced environment.
• Speak, read, write, and understand basic English.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate woodworking equipment including molder, drill press, Kerf cutter, pin router, table saw and measuring tools.
• Maintain quality standards per QA.
• Interpret drawings, cut sheets, work instructions and job orders.
• Assemble and package products.
• Inspect parts and machinery for errors.
• Follow PPE requirements and safety regulations.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.

What Will You Be Doing:

• Safe and correct set up and use of all equipment and processes including but not limited to: T molder, drill press, Kerf cutter, pin router, table saw and precision measuring tools
• Maintain standards set by quality assurance
• Understand and utilize detailed drawings, cut sheets, work instructions and job orders
• Assemble and package products
• Inspect parts and machinery for errors
• Use of all provided PPE (Personal protective equipment) as required for example, hearing protection, safety glasses and safety toe shoes
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
• Adhere to all safety regulations
