Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Selma, AL seeks a Machine Operator I to set up and run production equipment in line with established procedures. You will ensure material flow, operate safely, and stack finished parts while maintaining a clean, orderly work area and accurate records.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and at least 6 months in manufacturing. Must be 18+ and follow safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling is required.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates production machinery according to procedures.
• Feeds and runs the machine safely and efficiently.
• Stacks finished products following established procedures.
• Keeps work area clean, organized and safe.
• Performs pre-shift startup inspections and notes issues.
• Maintains production records as required and assists with quality checks.
