Job summary

UFP Moultrie, LLC is seeking a Machine Operator I to set up and operate production equipment in accordance with established procedures. You will secure materials, maintain records, and ensure safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include pre-shift inspections, orderly work areas, and participation in safety and CI programs. Must be 18+ with 6 months of manufacturing experience; high school diploma/GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling is required.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area set up.
• Operates and feeds the machine in a safe and efficient manner, and according to established procedures.
• Stacks completed products per procedures and may cover, label and band components/finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
• Performs duties per safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
