Job summary

Daifuku Automotive America Corporation in Reynoldsburg, OH is seeking a Machine Operator I to run and monitor various machinery (laser, press brake, CNC milling, etc.), set up at shift start, and inspect parts for quality. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork in a heavy manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and exposure to basic shop tools, with the ability to lift 25-50 lbs, pass background/drug tests, and work overtime when required.

Qualifications

• Must have intermediate blueprint reading knowledge and the ability to follow the work order instructions
• Forklifts and Overhead crane experience preferred (in-house training available)
• Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test
• Team player - must be able to work with others assigned to machine
• Must have and maintain a high sense of urgency to meet and exceed all production goals
• Adaptable to changing demands
• Attentive to detail watching for material defects and any quality issues
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching and twisting throughout shift
• Capable of repetitively lifting 25-50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order
• Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift
• Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running
• Troubleshoot problems during machine operation
• Ensure stocks/inventory of needed materials and tools are ready and available at all times
• Provide relevant information regarding progress to supervisors
• Follows all plant safety guidelines and keep a clean, safe area
• Notify supervisors/leads of problems that may occur with equipment or part quality
• Perform other tasks as assigned
