Job summary

Daifuku Automotive America Corporation in Reynoldsburg, OH is seeking an experienced Machine Operator I to operate industrial equipment, set up machines, and monitor production to meet quality and delivery goals.

You will work in a manufacturing environment with overhead cranes and forklifts, follow strict safety guidelines, and support continuous improvement through proactive maintenance and clear communication with supervisors.

Qualifications

• Intermediate blueprint reading knowledge and ability to follow work order instructions.
• Forklifts and Overhead crane experience preferred (in-house training available)
• Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test
• Team player - must be able to work with others assigned to machine
• Must have and maintain a high sense of urgency to meet and exceed all production goals
• Adaptable to changing demands
• Attentive to detail watching for material defects and any quality issues
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching and twisting throughout shift
• Capable of repetitively lifting 25-50 lbs.
• Candiates must be flexible to work overtime as needed, which may include weekends and/or holidays

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial equipment and machinery (laser machine, press brake, CNC milling, etc.) in accordance with procedures.
• Set up machines at start of shift; maintain/clean equipment.
• Monitor machines for optimum performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure materials and tools are available; communicate progress to supervisors.
• Follow all safety guidelines and use PPE; maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Perform other tasks such as cutting, drilling, tapping, grinding as needed.
• Maintain regular attendance and reliable transportation.
• Work environment includes overhead cranes, forklifts, and a non-climate-controlled facility; noise levels are normal for manufacturing.
