Job summary

G&W Electric Co in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Machine Operator I for a 6:00am–6:00pm shift (B shift). You will set up and operate one or two pieces of moderately complex manufacturing equipment.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, 6+ months of manufacturing experience, and the ability to read work instructions and use hand/power tools. Emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork in a state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 6+ months experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and communicate with supervision.
• Ability to operate a variety of machinery.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery using hand tools as necessary.
• Dispose of hazardous chemicals properly.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures and rules.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
• Train others in machine operator tasks as needed to support the team.
• Inspect all work for defects before passing to the next operation.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
