Overview

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking a Machine Operator I - 3rd Shift at our Troy, IL facility. Core hours are Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. Overtime may be required.

Compensation: Hourly rate $24.87 per hour, plus a $0.50 shift differential. Wage progression may reach $26.61 per hour after 10 months. Salary information is a general guideline and may vary based on candidate skills, experience, and market considerations.

What you’ll do

The Machine Operator will operate sheet metal fabrication machines, read shop orders and engineering drawings, perform quality checks, and use calibration equipment such as calipers as needed to perform job functions.

• Work with flat sheet metal (steel and aluminum).
• Run various machine operations (brake press, hammer flanger, buffalo roller, hand scribing & hand sheering).

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• A minimum of six (6) months of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position. This includes CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, F-1 to H-1B, O-1, E-3, TN, I-485 job portability, etc.
• No relocation benefit offered. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of Troy, IL; Active-Duty Military Service members are exempt from the geographic requirement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A minimum of two (2) years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
• Experience with calibration equipment such as calipers.
• Prior SAP experience.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications.
