Job summary

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking a Machine Operator I for the 2nd shift at the Troy, IL facility. You will operate sheet metal fabrication machines, read shop orders and engineering drawings, and perform quality checks using calipers and precision tools.

The role includes safety training and requires accuracy in measurement and documentation. The position offers a competitive hourly wage with a 0.50 shift differential, plus benefits starting day one and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 months Machine Operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred: A minimum of 2 years of Machine Operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics or technical manuals.
• Experience with calibration equipment such as calipers.
• Prior SAP experience.
• Proficient with basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Operate sheet metal fabrication machines and read shop orders.
• Read and understand engineering drawings; perform quality checks.
• Use calibration equipment such as calipers and other measurement tools.
• Work with flat sheet metal (steel and aluminum).
• Run various machine operations (brake press, hammer flanger, buffalo roller, hand scribing & hand sheering).
• Complete safety and quality training and inspections.

The core hours Monday - Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.The hourly rate for this position is 24.87/hr per hour, plus a $0.50 shift differential. Machine Operator's follow a wage progression schedule and will reach $26.61 per hour after 10 months.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
