Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Machine Operator I - 2nd Shift.

The hours for this role are 3pm-11pm.

The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour.

What You’ll Do

The CNC Operator will operate multiple CNC mills, check quality of finished parts, review technical drawings, revisions and note codes, use tools and calibration equipment such as calipers, wrenches, and air guns or any other equipment necessary to perform job functions.

  • Perform routine loading and unloading of production-ready parts and tool changes to execute a sequence of operations such as turn, drill, and bore on a variety of metal components.
  • Deburr parts in accordance with drawing specifications.
  • Identify inserts, cutters and general tooling for specific operations.
  • Perform all 5S+ activities and keep immediate work area clean and free from hazards.
  • Conduct in-process checks and make offset adjustments to ensure finished parts conform to process specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings in accordance with standard shop practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned including training other operators, supporting related work cells, etc.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment OR completion of a machinist/CNC degree/CNC certification
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Beltsville, MD will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  • Ability to stand, sit, move 8-12 hours a day
  • Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis
