Job description

Primary Functions:
Maintain the safe and efficient use of equipment, while adjusting settings to ensure accurate production of goods. Support all efforts of maintaining 5-S standards and the plants overall housekeeping as assigned by the Production Supervisor. Assist other Managers with different tasks as they occur as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily routine cleaning of areas
• Conduct preventable maintenance of process line and resolve production problems efficiently to minimize down time.
• Responsible for machine adjustments, product changeover, start-up and shut downs activities.
• Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
• Maintain 5-S standards and housekeeping.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and teams.
• Follow all safety training and documents for this site.
• Ensure optimum operations of equipment by reporting needed maintenance.
• Report any and all quality related issues to the Supervisor.
• Work with maintenance in finding issues with the machine(s).
• Meet department’s key objectives.
• Participate in Company Safety program.
• Must understand and follow job specific SOP’s.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned consistent with the non-exempt functions.

Safety & Health:
To ensure zero accidents and zero occupational illnesses with a consistent risk prevention system. Follow the CertainTeed Health and Safety Rules, ensure safe operating conditions within area of responsibility, and notify coworkers and supervisors of hazardous acts and conditions.
