MACHINE OPERATOR I

Primary Objective: This person will be a key member of the Milling production team and will be responsible for supporting the team in planning and executing tasks that are critical to producing top quality products while also maintaining the highest standards for safety.

What you’ll do:

• Complies with all company safety rules and procedures.
• Monitors product and process to ensure quality of product to documented procedures.
• Makes required adjustments to equipment to maintain quality of product.
• Records and reports production numbers including disruptions and rejects.
• Coordinates and executes to published schedule.
• Changes and adjusts tooling as required.
• Assists with changeovers on the production line.
• Resolves small alarms on the production line to maximize uptime.
• Performs required PM.
• Loads, unloads, and moves material using forklift as needed.
• Performs required housekeeping.
• Performs additional tasks as assigned by management.

What you have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of manufacturing experience in a fast-paced work environment
• 1+ years of experience with automated machines
• 1+ years of experience adjusting machine to produce quality product.
• Forklift experience or willingness to learn to operate a forklift.
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer skills

What you’re good at:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and comprehend manuals used in the plant.
• Able to perform math calculations, including conversion to metric systems.

What else?

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. if needed.
• Must be able to work a full 12-hour shift on a rotating schedule.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, push, pull and reach for long periods of time.
