Job Description:

Perform asphalt paving machine operator duties on a paving crew.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate asphalt paving machines that spread and level asphalt on highways, parking lots, streets, etc.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oiling, greasing, and adjusting equipment.
• Assist with tasks like adding/removing screed extensions and installing accessories.
• Guide dump trucks during backing operations.

Minimum Qualifications & Training:

• At least one year of experience or willingness to train the right candidate.
• Valid NC Driver's License encouraged.
• Willingness to learn multiple paving tasks.
• Ability to follow precise instructions and safety policies.
• Reliable team player with good attendance and safety record.
• Availability to work Saturdays, Sundays, and some nights.
• Military base pass may be required for some roles.

Tasks Essential to Job Functions:

• Physical activities include standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 100 pounds), and working in extreme temperatures.
• Long hours, sometimes up to 15 hours a day, may be required.
• Job involves riding to work; company vehicle driving standards apply.
• Overtime may be necessary.
