Job Summary

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our team. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for making production machined parts and tools/products by using precision CNC and other manufacturing equipment. The job involves following standard work procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery and manufacturing equipment. Under the guidance of machinists and leadership, you will produce parts on time and within specified tolerances. Once parts are produced, you will be responsible for inspecting them to verify all critical dimensions are within specified ranges. The role also requires a high level of attention to detail to ensure quality production and reliability, supporting our commitment to on-time delivery at a world-class level.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Follow established work instructions and company procedures to ensure safe, quality production.
2. Utilize strong math skills to input and monitor dimensions into CNC machinery, adjusting as necessary.
3. Analyze blueprints or other documents to ensure the final product matches the expected results.
4. Understand machine operation to maintain proper functioning and troubleshoot issues.
5. Detect issues in the creation process and assist in finding solutions to ensure quality output.
6. Perform light assembly, deburring, and general handling of parts and work in process.
7. Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks on machines as per manufacturer’s scheduled routine.
8. Verify conformance of machined parts to specifications using measuring instruments such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
9. Read and interpret blueprints to determine critical dimensions.
10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
11. Cross-train on other equipment as needed.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

1. Follow established assembly procedures to ensure quality production.
2. Previous 1-2 years of experience in a machine manufacturing role, specifically manufacturing metal components.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
• Experience overseeing dust collection operations, including power, chip/scrap removal, changing bags, and maintenance.
• 2-3 years of CNC operation experience, including loading material, changing tooling, running programs, and routine maintenance.
• 1-2 years of experience in milling, drilling, tapping, blueprint reading, and using measuring instruments.
• Experience with grinders and lathes is a plus.
• Strong understanding of mathematics.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.

• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Requires sitting, using hands, talking, and hearing.
