Position Summary

This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machining centers, mills, lathes, and router equipment. The Machine Operator produces quality products according to precise specifications within time constraints. At some locations, this role may also include general warehouse duties such as shipping and receiving. The employee will work with moderate supervision.

Essential Functions

1. Sets up and operates production machinery such as CNC saws, lathes, milling machines, drills, shapers, boring mills, and grinders to fabricate and repair parts and products. Works with some guidance from supervision.
2. Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, parts lists, and assembly instructions. Verifies specifications and conducts dimensional and visual inspections using standard quality assurance equipment.
3. Performs maintenance on equipment, including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs. Reports errors in product and equipment issues.
4. Handles warehouse duties such as filling orders, operating warehouse equipment including forklifts, and processing shipments using SAP. Prepares necessary documentation like transfer orders, bills of lading, and work orders.
5. Resolves assembly and production issues, communicates errors, and collaborates to improve processes.
6. Participates in safety and continuous improvement initiatives, maintains a clean and safe work environment, and follows safety policies.
