Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a dependable Equipment and Machine Operator to support production at our Coastal facility in Florida. You will assist a designated machine operator and production team with maintenance, cleanup, yard work, and material handling in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires adherence to safety procedures, the ability to stand for long periods, and the capacity to lift up to 75 lbs. Training for specific machines may be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow company production and safety procedures.
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide 10’s and 100’s.
• Stand for extended periods.
• Lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Handle assignments in a repetitive and/or sequential order for completing tasks assigned.
• Inspect the quality of products according to standards.
• Assist in maintaining accurate production.
• Perform machine clean-up, set-up, and other functions associated with job changes.
• Use security gear at all times and follow all safety regulations.
• Operate machinery or equipment as trained and instructed following safety guidelines at all times.
• Assist lead operator in preparing for shift production.
• May operate equipment such as hoppers, bagging and sealer machines, forklift, palletizers, hydraulic equipment, powered tractors or vehicles; internal certification/training is required.
• Assist in loading/unloading of trucks.
• Maintain, verify and count product inventory.
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job as needed.
